Andy Silverman is a writer and producer specializing in features with a strong element of magical realism. A horror comedy, he co-wrote and produced called “CYST” is being distributed by RLJ Entertainment and is available VOD, Digital, and on DVD.
His most recent film “SECLUSION” premiered at the Chandler International Film Festival in January 2023 and won Best US Narrative Feature.
His current project "SQUONK" made the quarterfinals in the Nicholl Screenplay Competition and is currently in pre-production. Teaming up with LA Story Studios, Squonk is projected to be filmed in late summer 2024.
His feature "TEXAS COTTON" is currently on several platforms including Amazon Prime and was reviewed by Film Threat.
His award winning web series, "BUCKLE UP" was reviewed in the Austin Chronicle in October 2018, and was officially selected at several Web Series Festivals.
His short "LIFE LINES" won the best film at the Washington PA Film Festival in 2012.
Before becoming a screenwriter Andy invented and designed board games. He has 8 original prototypes and would be glad to haul them out and play them with anyone who plies him with copious amounts of coffee.
He plays ice hockey and also competes in the ACPT (American Crossword Puzzle Tournament) and was ranked as high as 223 in the world.
SQUONK
A reclusive woman whose face was disfigured as a child moves to the forest to pursue a legendary creature called the Squonk believing one touch will bring her eternal beauty, but an exotic game hunter has learned of her ability to draw it near and wants the Squonk as a trophy on his wall.
Seclusion
A down-and-out woman living out of her car breaks into an unoccupied mansion hoping for peace and solitude. But when she discovers she’s not alone she must decide whether her previous life is better than the new alternative.
CYST
In the 1960s a nurse's last day is ruined when a doctor inadvertently creates a cyst monster that terrorizes the office.
Texas cotton
An aging lawman is convinced a mysterious stranger arrested in his small town is innocent. His investigation stirs up a hornet's nest that will change the town forever.
Turducken
During an inspection of a run-down poultry farm, a timid USDA agent discovers the farmers have inadvertently spawned a giant Turducken monster. She must take down the ferocious beast before it kills them all and flies the coop.
WEB SERIES
BUCKLE UP
Finn is a disgruntled ride share driver fired from every other company in town for mouthing off to his passengers. He lands a job with Axxle a startup company and uses a pig puppet named Andouille to do his talking for him.
